“Mandarin is a difficult language to master and in all my years of teaching, few students have demonstrated the intellectual capacity, passion and discipline that Jalena has shown over the past four years.” Xin Chen, BHS Mandarin Chinese teacher
“I have never worked with a more politically astute young person. And she understands how to bring her quick mind to the creation of performance art works that speak authentically and intelligently about personal, social and political issues.” Sarah Crowell, Artistic Director, Destiny Arts Center
