Sequoia is graduating from the Academy of Medicine and Public Service (AMPS) at BHS with a clear focus on a career in medicine. She aspires to be an RN in a challenging specialty and to be an instrument of change in her community. Sequoia is proud of starting the school’s Medical Emergency Response Club and of interning with the City of Berkeley’s Mental Health Services Department. She also participated in BHS’ Bridge program and in Berkeley Youth Alternatives. She will be the first in her family to attend college.
