As our High Hopes program grows, we now have several cohorts of students who are currently attending or have graduated from local universities. College Success Coordinator, Lynn Walker has been visiting campuses and organizing meetups of campus cohorts to build community and to encourage students to support one another through college and beyond. As UC Santa Cruz scholars (seen below) agreed over bowling and a walk along the Santa Cruz boardwalk, they have a lot in common and know how hard it can be as a first gen student.
