Berkeley Community Fund High Hopes Scholarship
Alexis aspires to pursue a career as a software engineer and create video games. Throughout high school, he was involved in a Community Meal program providing meals for the homeless and was a student at the Y-Scholars Program, giving him the opportunity to improve academically. These experiences motivated him to give back and became a tutor for BRIDGE students. For three years he has been attending a comics appreciation club that has helped him grow as a creative writer. Alexis will be graduating from AC and is the first person in his family to go to college.
