Kayla has participated in student leadership in the Academy of Medicine and Public Service (AMPS) at Berkeley High School, is a reading buddy for students at Washington Elementary and is a member of the Health Occupation Students Association, whose mission is to spread awareness about healthcare. She has worked at Youth Radio and is interested in studying economics and international business. Kayla will be the first person in her family to attend college.
